Same Type. Same Story. Different Person Every Time. It's Not Bad Luck.

If you've ever looked at your dating history and noticed it feels like the same relationship recycled, you're not imagining it. And it has nothing to do with the people you're choosing.

It has everything to do with what you learned to expect from love — and what your nervous system reaches for without asking permission.

After 20+ years working with couples and individuals on relationship patterns, I can tell you this with certainty: the people who keep ending up in the same situation aren't unlucky or broken. They're running an old strategy in a new context. That strategy can be seen, named, and changed.

You're Not Bad at Dating. Your Old Survival Strategy Is Running the Show.

When you were young, you developed strategies to survive an imperfect family. To get love. To avoid rejection. To protect yourself from being overwhelmed or ignored. Those strategies were smart then — the best option available to a child with limited power and incomplete information.

Now they're running your dating life from the background, without your permission.

The abandonment wound

If you were left, ignored, or made to feel like love was conditional as a child, you may show up in dating as anxious, over-pursuing, prone to interpreting ambiguity as rejection, or dependent on reassurance that never quite feels like enough. You're not 'needy.' You're scared of what happened before.

The enmeshment wound

If you were over-relied upon, made responsible for others' emotions, or overwhelmed by closeness, you may show up in dating as avoidant, self sabotaging when things get real, or wired to create distance just when connection is possible. You're not 'commitment-phobic.' You're protecting yourself.

Most people who struggle with dating carry one of these two wounds. And most of the time, they attract someone carrying the opposite one.

Until you can see this pattern clearly — and make choices from a more grounded place — the same story will keep repeating with a different cast.

In Dating Coaching,
You'll Learn To:

💕   Identify the specific attachment wound shaping your dating patterns — and understand where it actually came from

💕   Recognize anxious and avoidant responses in yourself — and catch them before they run the relationship

💕   Step out of the survival strategy and into a more grounded version of yourself that can date from security instead of fear

💕   Build authentic confidence that attracts people who are genuinely compatible, not just familiar

💕   Navigate modern dating — apps, early conversations, the pace of emotional and physical intimacy — with intention instead of reaction

💕   Read early signals clearly: green flags, red flags, and the subtle ones that get ignored when chemistry is high

💕   Create relationship foundations that are healthy from the start, not patched together later

Dating Coaching Is Right for You If:

💕   You've dated enough to know your patterns exist — but not enough to understand why or how to

change them

💕   Your dating history reads like a theme, not a sequence of random events

💕   You know what you want in a relationship but consistently end up somewhere different

💕   You feel anxious and over-invested early, or you pull away just when something real gets close

💕   Dating apps feel hollow but the alternative isn't obvious

💕   You're divorced, newly single, or returning to dating after a long absence and want to do it differently this time

💕   You're tired of advice that tells you to 'just be yourself' without explaining which self keeps getting in the way

Dating coaching is not clinical therapy and is not designed for active mental health crises. If you're dealing with significant anxiety, depression, or trauma that needs therapeutic support, those should be addressed first or in parallel. Rebekah Yigael (LCSW) is part of our practice if that support is needed alongside coaching.

This Is Not 'Put Yourself Out There' Advice. It Goes Much Deeper.

Most dating advice is behavioral: show up differently, change your profile, be less available, ask better questions. It may change a few outcomes in the short term. It doesn't change the pattern.

The work I do operates at a different level. The method I use — Relational Life Therapy, developed by Terry Real — isn't about making you better at dating. It's about understanding the attachment strategies and survival patterns running your dating behavior from underneath, and replacing them with something that actually serves the relationship you want.

Behavioral advice changes what you do. This work changes who you show up as. It's slower. It's more

honest. And the results are durable in a way that a new profile photo is not.

Dating Coaching requires time.
Can you commit?

Dating can be hard but setting aside the right amount of time can bring great rewards! Here are a few factors that will affect the time required:

  • Your own personality

  • Whether we meet over zoom or in person
-The pace at which you move through each step.

But not to worry! We will set a pace that works best for you!

Schedule a call today so we can show you how this is possible for you!

Sessions are 50 minutes — focused, practical, and structured. Not open-ended journaling sessions. We

look at what's happening in your dating life right now, trace it to the patterns underneath, and build specific

skills to change it.

Pricing: $175 per 50-minute session | Packages available for structured engagements

Some clients come for a focused 6–8 session engagement around a specific pattern. Others work longer on deeper attachment material. We'll discuss what makes sense on the free initial call.

In person in Houston. Virtually anywhere.

HEAR FROM SINGLES...

"I'd been on a hundred first dates and couldn't figure out why none of them went anywhere.

Three sessions in, Danté named the pattern so precisely I nearly laughed. Six months later

I'm in the healthiest relationship I've ever been in."
